Congratulations! You chose the winner correctly America!
Shown here with her permanent makeup artist, is Number 4, the Winner of the Russian Eyebrow Competition held in Moscow February 12, 2010. You'll be able to see her brow "up close", along with all the Russian competitors, in Las Vegas where I'll be giving a Specialty Brow Workshop (Brow Bootcamp) later this year. Hopefully you'll come to Las Vegas for the one-of-a-kind workshop. It will include everything you need to know about doing brows so you can be a "Brow Master™". Sign up at Twitter (www.twitter.com/kolorsource) as I will "tweet" the date of the workshop. We'll have goof proof ways to design beautiful brows and give you the skills to bring them to life. I'm hoping to have this workshop by June. Linda Dixon MD |

I had no idea what a tall brown box with "FRAGILE" scrawled on it contained. In fact, I didn't open it for a few days, thinking someone had returned a product for credit. Finally, just to get the big box out of the way, I got a utility knife and opened it. Inside was a mass of "bubble wrap" and after removing several layers I realized there was something very precious inside. I looked at the return address on the box and it said "Toby Siegel". I returned to the task of "unbubbling" the object and began to see something that looked like hair. Now I was excited because I remembered talking to Toby months ago when she expressed her interest in studying permanent makeup. She spoke about her talent, years ago, of hand-painting porcelain dolls. I had expressed interest in perhaps buying one since my own mother had done porcelain painting when I was a child. Toby said she didn't do dolls anymore so I sighed and forgot about it. The handwritten note inside simply said "Hi Linda, Thank you for everything... Here's your doll. Hope you love her. Hugs. Toby". Yes, I will "love" the precious doll baby and I think I'll name her "Precious" for that matter. She'll be displayed in my office at Wakeup with Makeup for everyone to see. And, to you Toby, thank you from the bottom of my heart for such a generous, priceless gift. It makes everything I do worth it. God bless you. Linda Dixon MD |

Dear Dr. Dixon,
Hello hope all is well. Dr. I just would like to know if there are any precautions doing Alopecia eyeliner or eyebrows? I have a client tomorrow and she would like thick eyeliner and of course beautiful brows. I will be using the slope technique for both. Thanks for you input. As always, RG Dear RG, - The brows are not a problem.
- The eyeliner is challenging. Why? A) They don’t have any eyelashes and it’s important to keep topical anesthetic out of the eye; and b) The eyelid skin is almost rubbery and difficult to get in the color.
So, be patient and plan on at least 2-3 visits for the eyeliner. The brows will be okay.
